Shanghai Wendao Park
Shanghai Wendao Park features ancient Hui-style architecture, an important branch of the major Chinese ancient architecture with black tiles and white walls, wood and brick carving, zigzag flagging, and memorial archways.
It is a destination of eco-tourism in combination with culture, focusing on ancient residences, sightseeing, cultural and arts exchanges, and catering business.
Known as one of Shanghai's largest art and culture parks, it has a lot of tourist venues, such as the Rock Museum, Ancient Stone Carvings Museum, Masters' Calligraphy and Painting Studio, Changfeng Academy, and Yihe Pond.
The ancient buildings in Wendao Park were all relocated from Anhui province in East China, including carved old buildings from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, traditional Anhui residences, and ancient archways. The components such as beams, columns, doors, and windows were meticulously carved and painted, creating a picturesque and ancient atmosphere.
In addition to this, Wendao Park also houses a collection of precious rocks and now has a restaurant and clubhouse.
