Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden
Situated within Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort, the Chenshan Botanical Garden stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of scientific inquiry, public education and leisure.

A collaborative effort between the Shanghai municipal government, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, this expansive 207-hectare park comprises four distinct functional areas – central exhibition, plant conservation, five continents plant area and peripheral buffer.
Encompassing the park is a lush green ring, mountainous terrain and a diverse plant exhibition area, spanning 4,500 meters and providing a captivating vantage point for observing the entire park.
The central exhibition area is a horticultural marvel, boasting over 20 specialized gardens such as the East China Botanical Area, the Pit Garden, the Rock and Medicinal Plant Garden, the Aquatic Plant Garden and the Children's Botanical Garden.

Adding to its allure, the Chenshan Mountain within the park spans about 16 hectares and serves as a dedicated conservation area for indigenous plants. It encompasses an exhibition greenhouse, covering an impressive 12,608 square meters, making it the largest of its kind in China.
