Pujiang Country Park
The 5.3-kilometer riverside walkway at Pujiang Country Park provides residents with an ideal spot for strolling and relaxing. It also serves as a gateway to explore various dining and leisure activities nestled deeper within or near the park.
Let's take a look at what the park has to offer.
Let's Dog Pet Paradise
Upon entering the park's riverside walkway from Fengshou village, near Chunjian Bridge on Qushui Road, you'll come across Let's Dog Pet Paradise, a pet outdoor sports park where the occasional Let's Dog Wilderness Challenge takes place.

The Let's Dog Wilderness Challenge is China's first wilderness event that pairs humans with their dogs to complete various tasks together. Away from the city's hustle and bustle, you and your furry friends can engage in tasks that go beyond just running or walking—they're filled with fun and discovery.
Additionally, the paradise offers amenities such as barbecue facilities, camping areas, guesthouses, coffee shops, and even lacquerware workshops.
You can locate it at No 47-48, Group 9, Fengshou village.
Urban Wilderness Studio: Near-natural native ecosystem
After leaving Let's Dog Pet Paradise and heading east, you'll arrive at the forest recreation area of the countryside park. Here, you'll discover the Demonstration Base for Popular Science of Native Ecology in the Urban Wilderness, a collaborative effort with the Urban Wilderness Studio.

This marks the first biodiversity research and education base in Minhang district, centered around Shanghai's native ecology. With a mission to "conserve native species, protect urban ecology, and promote ecological education", it has ecologically transformed the existing conditions of the site to create a low-maintenance, near-natural native biological community.
The base boasts over 400 species of native plants and more than 800 species of native animals. It regularly hosts nature education courses focused on urban biodiversity protection and native species recognition.
Duhang Pier: Transforming from a transportation hub to an urban landmark
After exploring the Urban Wilderness site and returning to the riverside walkway, follow Shendu Highway until you reach the banks of the Huangpu River, where you'll find Duhang Pier.

Situated adjacent to Pujiang Countryside Park, Duhang Pier offers a view of the historic Wujing industrial area across the river. The ferry route connecting Duhang to Wujing, known as the Du-Wu Line, dates back to the Republic of China period (1912-1949) when it initially operated with manual row boats. In 1958, the Shanghai Ferry Company introduced the Du-Wu Line ferry route, which is presently managed by the same company.

While in the past, the ferry primarily served as a means of transportation between the two riverbanks, today, it is more commonly utilized for recreational purposes. The constant activity of boats traversing the Huangpu River at Duhang Pier creates a picturesque scene, which is particularly enchanting during sunset when the sunlight dances across the rippling waves, creating a serene and picturesque panorama.
Viewing Minpu Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge over Huangpu River, from Rainbow Bridge
Continuing past Duhang Pier, you'll encounter the newly constructed Rainbow Bridge at Yaojiabang. Standing on Rainbow Bridge, you can see Minpu Bridge, a double-decker cable-stayed bridge over the Huangpu River.
Constructed in 2005, Minpu Bridge connects Minhang district and Pudong New Area.
The bridge measures 3,610 meters in length and 44 m in width. The upper deck features an eight-lane bidirectional expressway with a design speed of 120 km per hour. The lower deck consists of a six-lane bidirectional urban expressway with a design speed of 60 km per hour.
Former train ferry site: The only train ferry ever used on the Huangpu River
Continuing southward, slightly southwest, lies another historical site: the former Wujing Train Ferry, the only standard gauge railway ever used on the Huangpu River. This railway segment was built in the late 1950s to transport ore, coke, steel, and other materials for the Shanghai No 3 Iron and Steel Plant.

Yes, you heard it right—trains used to cross the Huangpu River here, not over bridges or through tunnels, but by an ancient and unique method— boat. Ferries transported trains from the Wujing Pier on the west bank to the Duhang Pier on the east bank of Pudong. This was the only railway ferry ever used on the Huangpu River. Once bustling, it now stands as a reminder of the industrial era.
Karting theme park: Various curve combinations for the ultimate excitement
Continuing southward, you'll arrive at Ruiqing Karting Theme Park, an outdoor comprehensive karting theme park. Covering an area of approximately 25,000 square meters, it specializes in karting, youth training, commercial events, camping, and more.

The park is adjacent to the riverside walkway, boasting beautiful surroundings and abundant facilities, offering numerous entertainment options. The track is approximately 800 m in length, with an overall width of about 9 meters, featuring 17 different curve combinations including straightaways, high-speed bends, U-turns, and S-turns.
Yuenong Countryside Cultural Park: Enjoy barbecues and fishing
After experiencing some thrilling karting, why not relax a bit? Continuing along the riverside walkway, you'll find Yuenong Countryside Cultural Park near the Redwood Mirror Pond.
