Zhixiang Eatery

Zhixiang Eatery has been one of the most popular restaurants on Jingfu Road for 28 years.

Starting with shengjian and pot stickers, the restaurant has expanded its menu to include a variety of other delicacies, including mixed noodles, congee, soy milk, and duck blood and rice noodle soup.

"Freshly cooked" is the key to the restaurant's delicious food: ingredients are prepared from 3 am every day, the fillings are freshly wrapped and freshly seasoned.

The small food stall has been serving the community for five years. To ensure customers eat freshly-made food, the owner, Mrs Shan, starts the business at 4 am every day to prepare ingredients and make scallion pancakes.

Freshly baked scallion pancakes boast a crispy exterior and a fragrant, onion-filled interior. Tear one apart and the aroma of lard and scallions fills the air. Apart from scallion pancakes, the stall also offers egg-filled pancakes with complimentary toppings like shredded potatoes and tofu skin.

Zhang Ji Fried Dough Stick

Start the day with a fried dough stick along with a bowl of tofu pudding (doufu nao) – a truly satisfying breakfast! For carb enthusiasts, Zhang Ji Fried Dough Stick is a must-visit.

The fried dough sticks made in Zhang Ji are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The breakfast shop also offers baked buns, glutinous rice sesame balls, pumpkin cakes, and soy milk at affordable prices.

Wujiang Road Shengjian

Wujiang Road Shengjian, a long-time favorite on Luojin Road, has gained a reputation among local residents who frequent the shop for their breakfast fix.

With freshly made pan-fried food every morning, a pot is divided between shengjian and pot stickers, ready in about six to seven minutes.

The shengjian are exceptional – generously filled, crispy on the outside and bursting with juice; the pot stickers boast thin skins and flavorful fillings.
