The name Qibao translates to "seven treasures" in Chinese, and there are two prevailing theories surrounding its origin. One theory links it to the Qibao Temple, while the other revolves around seven precious items: an iron Buddha, a bronze bell, a gold script Lotus Sutra, a Chinese catalpa tree, a jade axe, a gold cockerel, and a pair of jade chopsticks.
