Crystal Plus debuts in Shanghai with art, retail revival
Crystal Galleria, located in Shanghai's Jing'an district near West Nanjing Road, has rebranded as Crystal Plus, unveiling its refreshed identity on Dec 15.
Under the theme "Lovable Always", the mall partnered with Erni Creative — a Paris-based cultural consultancy and creative agency specializing in curating and organizing art exhibitions — to showcase works by renowned French artist Philippe Katerine.
His latest creation, Mr. Blue, jointly inspired by the Smurfs and Paris 2024 Olympics, made its global debut at the mall. The artwork encourages visitors to embrace authenticity and reflect on their inner selves. Katerine's popular Mr. Rose is also featured in the exhibition, symbolizing resilience and harmony.
The revamped Crystal Plus introduces a diverse mix of retail, dining, and lifestyle brands, with 155 brands spanning over 52,000 square meters. Highlights include Coca-Cola's first Shanghai store, emerging fashion brand Mangoway's first outlet in China, and outdoor label bossini.x's debut in Jing'an. Lifestyle retailer X11 and Huawei's flagship store further enhance the mall's innovative offerings.
Dining options have also been upgraded, with notable entries such as Mokpo Korean Cuisine and Bco Western Dining both making their Shanghai debut, alongside popular regional favorites.
Crystal Plus places a strong focus on wellness and pet-friendly services. The 24-hour fitness chain 247fitness debuts its Shanghai branch, offering flexible, stress-free workout options. Additionally, Fat Fa Pet Care introduces a new "urban pet daycare" concept, complete with dedicated pet elevators to ensure a convenient experience for pet owners.
The mall's interiors have been fully refreshed, including upgraded lighting, navigation systems, and redesigned public spaces. These enhancements create a modern, welcoming environment, positioning Crystal Plus as a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and art while delivering a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
