Spring brings fresh vibes to Shanghai's shopping areas
As the ever-welcome spring arrives and settles in, several shopping areas and malls across Shanghai — including Yuyuan Road, The Place commercial complex and Changning Art Park — have undergone significant transformations.
These places have teamed up with citywide initiatives like the Enjoy Shanghai consumption coupon program, the Shanghai Women's Half Marathon and also local promotions — offering a one-stop experience for shopping, dining and entertainment.
Yuyuan Road, in particular, stands out for its stunning floral displays that have breathed new life into the historic street. The decorations have not only beautified the area, but also drew many of the participants in the Women's Half Marathon, who stopped by to take photos and soak in the atmosphere.
The runners, whether relaxing after the race or admiring the historic buildings, were seen there in groups — chatting and enjoying all the charms Changning district has to offer.

Meanwhile, The Place mall is attracting many families with kids thanks to a special pop-up event inspired by the popular Chinese animated series Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf. The event reimagines a picturesque green farm with interactive photo spots, creating a springtime paradise inside the complex.

Elsewhere, at Changning Art Park, the Springtime Garden has made its debut at the sunken plaza.
The centerpiece is a fountain sculpture surrounded by paper flowers, blending with the surrounding European-style architecture. The area is further enhanced by swing chairs, creating a playful vibe perfect for kids.
From now to March 23, the park will continue to host the Spring Flower Market on weekends, offering a variety of creative products, toys and handmade items.

In line with events such as the Women's Half Marathon and the recent International Women's Day celebrations, Changning Art Park is collaborating with its restaurants, retail outlets and leisure businesses to offer a range of exciting promotions.
The mall is also planning to strengthen its connection to nearby residents and office workers through various community events and artistic initiatives — aiming to create a social space that provokes emotion and combines vibrancy with a personal touch.
Over at Livat Shanghai, the mall has also launched its spring-themed campaign, attracting loads of visitors. Starting in March, it will focus on activities such as flower viewing, flower parades, arts and crafts activities and wellness promotions — giving folks the chance to fully embrace the early spring bloom.
