Phase II of The Ring Live shopping mall opened in Shanghai's Xuhui district on June 27 — adding a dynamic new highlight to the area's commercial landscape.

With a floor space of 100,000 square meters, the development combines retail, sports, culture and outdoor gardens and greenery. It features shopping streets, sports facilities and a theater — all connected by green spaces to offer a great all-round customer experience.

The mall is divided into three themed zones:

- Art: Home to the landmark LIVERSE theater designed by architect Kengo Kuma, hosting over 200 events annually, including performances and esports.

- Beat: A lifestyle hub featuring retail, dining, entertainment and an IP experience lab. The term IP, or intellectual property, refers to popular characters, stories, brands, or cultural icons that have strong emotional connections with shoppers.

- Vibe: A sports and social zone with professional badminton and basketball courts, a swimming pool, gym, rooftop soccer and tennis courts, plus sports-themed retail and dining outlets.

The opening also featured major art exhibitions, including the debut of the Maltese — an adorable cartoon character created by Korean artist moonlab_studio — a large Tommy Toucan sculpture by Ken Kelleher and floral artworks by Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas.
