Hongqiao Qianwan Incity Mega set to open by year-end
A new landmark commercial complex in western Shanghai, Hongqiao Qianwan Incity Mega located in Minhang district, is scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Spanning more than 400,000 square meters, the project has already secured a leasing rate above 70 percent and will bring together more than 350 brands focused on social gatherings, family-friendly experiences, pet-friendly spaces, and outdoor lifestyles.
As Shanghai's second Incity Mega project, it will join the existing Costco China flagship store and the Hongqiao International Central Business District to form a super complex integrating retail, office, and lifestyle elements, creating a new hub for shopping, leisure, culture, and international business.
Breaking away from the traditional box-style mall design, Hongqiao Qianwan Incity Mega blends an enclosed shopping center with a semi-open commercial street. Its nature-inspired layout features ecological corridors, sunken plazas, and multi-level terraces, creating a setting reminiscent of canyons, streams, and waterfalls to give visitors a "micro-vacation" experience.
The complex will feature an array of themed zones, from pet-friendly areas and community spaces to nature experiences, youth culture, and outdoor sports. Highlights include:
- IMAX Huanying Cinema's first location in Minhang district
- Chongpangpang, a pet-friendly brand making its Minhang debut
- BIGXLAND, a large-scale sports and lifestyle venue
- DOME, a professional indoor rock-climbing facility
- MUJI's largest store in western Shanghai
