BRI: Young Diplomatic Talent Advanced Training programme
The Young Diplomatic Talent Advanced Training Programme, taking place from June 20 to July 8, aims to foster mutual understanding among young diplomatic talent from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Themed "Consensus, Common Prosperity, and Sharing", the programme serves as a platform for diplomats to exchange insights on China's global role and the future of global governance.
The programme covers political, economic, social, cultural and ecological aspects in China, analyses new diplomatic perspectives and policies, and discusses BRI and regional cooperation.
Supported by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, directed by Fudan University's International Students Office, and organised by the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, the programme hosted 13 participants this year from BRI countries including Thailand, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Myanmar, Pakistan, Turkiye, Italy, Bangladesh, Tunisia and others.
Organised by Fudan University's School of International Relations and Public Affairs, the BRI national Young Diplomatic Talents Advanced Training Programme is a key initiative supported by the Shanghai Municipal Government to implement the national "going global" strategy. It aims to enhance interaction and friendship between young diplomats from Belt and Road countries, as well as societal elites and relevant individuals in China. It seeks to increase awareness and attention among these young diplomatic talents regarding China's national development strategy and Shanghai's deployment as a global city.
