FAQs for foreign students applying for internship visas in China
Q: I am an overseas student and would like to come to China for an internship. Are there any convenient residency policies available?
A: Foreign students from overseas universities who are invited by business enterprises or institutions in China for internships can apply for a one-year visa (marked with "internship") at the exit and entry administration department of the public security authorities. The application requires an invitation letter from the inviting organization and proof of enrollment from the student's university.
Additionally, foreign students coming to China for internships under intergovernmental agreements can apply for a work-type residence permit according to the regulations.
