Program introduction

- Target

Standard Chinese Language Program (Enrollment in April) is designed for students who plan to enroll in April. Students will be placed into classes of different levels of the Standard Chinese Language Program, based on placement test results. The curriculum and weekly class schedule are the same as the Standard Chinese Language Program except for the enrollment date.

- Program duration

April 1 - June 28

※ 13 weeks in total. In case of Chinese public holidays and school activities, classes will be suspended. Students will be noticed to register online and take the placement test before the semester begins.

Class Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:30 am-11:45 am, four class hours each session (45min=1 class hour), 20 class hours per week.

※ The schedules above are based on Beijing time.

Fees: Application fee 800 yuan ($111.68); tuition fee 7,000 yuan/semester

Textbooks: 40 Lessons for Basic Chinese, Development Chinese, Times Chinese Newspaper Reading Course etc.

Program features:

• Small Class: Less than 24 people per class.
• Various Courses: ECNU outstanding Chinese teaching team, face to face to improve your Chinese with equal emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Graded Course: 12 grades of course provided which exactly match students’ Chinese proficiency levels.
• Completion Certificate: Transcript and certificate of completion will be issued to students who successfully complete the course.

Refund rules:

If due to personal reasons, a full refund is available for those who give up their enrollment and complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures before the semester start date (April 1, 2024 for the Spring 2024 semester); 70 percent refund for those who complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures within the first two weeks after the semester start date; no refund after the first two weeks after the semester start date.
