Program Introduction:

The 2024 Experience Diverse China Summer Program, a four-week course, will offer three teaching modules: Chinese study, city exploration, and cultural experiences. It will take you around Shanghai, a dynamic metropolis, and Beijing, the culturally rich capital of China, where you can experience Chinese society and culture, and explore business opportunities in the country. It aims at developing your perspectives and improving your comprehensive Chinese proficiency.

Program itinerary:

Program duration: July 15 - Aug 9, 2024

Class schedule:

*The theme of the Chinese practice activities includes reading tongue twisters, singing Chinese songs, reciting Chinese poetry, dubbing movies and TV shows, debating competitions, going out for interviews, etc. The specific arrangements are based on the Chinese proficiency and students' interest in each class.

*The itinerary will be adjusted according to actual conditions.

Program features:

√ Professional Chinese class: The courses are given in the form of small group instruction, tailored to your Chinese level and learning objectives, and can help to improve your comprehensive Chinese ability in a short time.

√ Lively on-site teaching: You will explore Chinese cities and experience the local customs through on-site teaching, which can stimulate your learning interest and deepen your understanding.

√ In-depth cultural experience: You will participate in business visits and traditional Chinese cultural activities, which will help you understand more about the Chinese economy and society, and feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

√ Overall program management: A program officer will be responsible for all affairs related to the program from registration to completion. You can apply for one-on-one tutoring during the teachers' office hours every week to get personalized tutoring.

Program fees:

1. Application fee: 400 yuan ($55.6)

2. Tuition fee: 6,000 yuan

*The tuition fee includes teaching materials, cultural experiences and city exploration activities, excluding a four-day tour of Beijing.

3. To live on campus, the fees are as follows:

Standard Double Room: 120 yuan/person/day, share with a roommate, air-con, free internet, private restroom

Economic Double Room: 60 yuan/person/day, share with a roommate, air-con, free internet, shared restroom

4. Four-day tour of Beijing: about 3,500 yuan

*Transportation by high-speed railway

*Scenic spots include the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall, the Olympic Park, the Summer Palace, the Shichahai Historical and Cultural Scenic Area, etc.

*The four-day tour of Beijing is self-paid, approximately 3,500 yuan, which includes transportation, tickets, accommodation, and some meals. Fees are subject to change due to conditions.

Eligibility:

Ages 18-55, in good physical condition, with a valid foreign passport
