Brief introduction

Since 2017, Donghua University has hosted the annual Advanced Seminar for Textile Industry International Cooperation (BR-TIIC). By providing lectures and courses, together with field trips and visits, this program has helped participants expand their professional knowledge, understand industry trends, and broaden their vision.

Program features

1. Frontier knowledge immersion

Experts from the textile, apparel, and materials fields will give lectures and initiate discussions about rich topics and cutting-edge content.

2. Chinese and cultural learning

Lectures and workshops help participants experience the wonderful charm of the Chinese language and cultural learning.

3. Field trips in the industry

Visit local textile and apparel enterprises to get an in-depth understanding of the industry’s status and Chinese characteristics in the textile industry chain.

4. Shanghai-style cultural experience

Visit venues with Shanghai-style cultural characteristics and learn about its historical development to feel its modern spirit.

2024 BR-TIIC Information

Time: July 8 to 26

Venue: Yan'an Road campus

The program will be conducted offline and in English.

The program recruits young faculty or researchers, practitioners in the textile and apparel industries, doctoral or master's degree candidates, and outstanding senior undergraduate students from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Participants will have the opportunity to receive the following financial support: waiver of application fee, tuition fee, and fee of on-campus accommodation within the specified date.
