01 Online Application

Application deadline:

June 30, 2024－For students who NEED a resident permit (study) extension

*X2 visa holders must submit the application at least one month before the visa expires.

August 4, 2024－for students who have NO NEED for a student visa extension

02 Email Confirmation

Once you successfully submit your application and get approval from DHU, you will receive a confirmation letter from the International Cultural Exchange School (ICES). Kindly check your email and spam regularly, and complete the program application as per the email guide.

01 What if I forget my DHU account?

Please try to log in with the following info:

Account: Your passport number

Password: dhu+date of birth (YYYYMMDD)+@

e.g. dhu20230530@

02 What is the tuition deadline? Is the insurance fee compulsory?

After receiving the confirmation email, you can log into your account and pay the tuition fee.

Yes, not only is this part of the regulations set up by the Ministry of Education of China, but it is also to better protect international students. International students are required to purchase insurance, of which the validity should be enough to cover one's study duration. Insurance fee: 400 yuan per semester.

03 How do I extend my study visa?

Visa extension requirements vary case by case. Please submit your online application and consult the school office at least one month before your visa expires.

05 How do I apply for an RFTR (Registration Form of Temporary Residence)?

－If you stay in on-campus accommodation: collect your RFTR from the ICES dorm officer (remember to bring your student card and passport).

－If you stay in off-campus accommodation: please contact your local police station or scan the QR code below for the declaration:

06 What class level will I be in next semester?

You can consult your teacher for a suggested level.

07 I have received my renewed visa, what should I do next?

For better academic affairs management, students who have already extended their visas are kindly requested to come to ICES 122 with their passport in order to finish the program continuation process (deadline is July 5, 2024).

08 When do classes start next semester?

Classes start on Sept 9.

Students who have finished the registration process before September, please pay attention to instructions given by the academic office and join class on time. Students who have not yet completed registration need to do so before Sept 5, 2024.

ICES will email you with the new semester notice in late August, please check your email frequently and read the notice carefully.
