Eligibility

> Non-Chinese citizens with good physical and mental health

> Age Range of Applicants: over 18 years old

> Education background: High school graduate or equivalent

> Able to afford the necessary costs

> No criminal record

Program details

1. Application deadline: July 29, 2024

2. Duration: from mid-September, 2024, to early-January, 2025 (16 weeks)

3. Class Level: Beginner Level & Intermediate Level

Students will be divided into classes of different levels according to the results of their test.

Those who have an HSK 4 Certificate (or above) will be assigned to Intermediate Level Class.

3. Accommodation fee

Dormitory fees may vary due to reconstruction and upgrading.

Notes: The accommodation fee shall be paid by semester. The number of dorms is limited, thus not all applicants will be able to live on campus.

3. Refunds

Application fee is not refundable.

Once classes begin, those who apply to drop out before Week Two can get 75 percent of the tuition refunded; those who apply to drop out before Week Three can get 50 percent of the tuition refunded; no refund will be issued from Week 4 onwards. Those who are forced to withdraw from school due to violation of school rules and regulations will not be refunded.

Materials needed for application

1. A clear passport photo page, including name, photo, date of birth, place of birth, date of issue, and expiration date. The passport should be valid for at least six months.

If you have ever been to China or are currently in China, you need to submit all relevant visa pages.

The university will not process any T-visa and resident permit until after registration.

2. High school diploma (or equivalent, such as IB, A Levels, etc.) and transcripts of all grades (semesters) of high school

The original must be stamped by the school or signed by the relevant person in charge.

When submitting a transcript, it is recommended to attach a description of the high school’s performance evaluation criteria.

Those who are about to graduate can submit a pre-graduation certificate and any transcripts obtained so far. After obtaining a formal high school diploma and their final transcripts, applicants must submit them to Shanghai Dianji University in a timely manner.

Students are required to provide the above original documents for verification when they register at the beginning of the first semester.

3. Resume

Provide a resume, including basic personal information, contact information, educational background (starting from senior high school), work or internship experience (if any), extracurricular activity participation, awards, hobbies, etc. The downtime between different experiences should not exceed three months.

4. Police Clearance Certificate issued by the local government or a Character Certificate by the school with a recent date.

5. Financial materials (Deposit Certificate, Bank account balance details, etc)

6. Other documents if applicable (other certificates, letters of recommendation, transfer letters, working certificate, etc.)
