Finance seminar for Uganda opens at Shanghai Business School
The Seminar on Financial Management for Uganda - currently being sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce - was opened on Aug 7 at the International Business Officials Training Base of the Shanghai Business School.

The ongoing seminar in Shanghai - inspired by a vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind - seeks to establish a platform for learning and exchanges.
Its aim is to share core concepts, strategies and approaches in financial management, with the goal of cultivating a greater number of high-quality financial management talent in Uganda.
Additionally, the seminar aspires to enhance multi-field exchanges and cooperation between China and Uganda.
Spanning 14 days, the seminar comprises 37 participants from various Ugandan government departments, including the East African nation's Office of the President, the Parliament, the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Public Service and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Moreover, the curriculum includes a field visit to Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province.
During the opening ceremony, a representative from Uganda's Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development highlighted the longstanding friendship between Uganda and China, which was elevated to a comprehensive cooperative partnership in 2019.
He emphasized that the seminar offered a valuable platform for knowledge exchanges and collaboration in financial management and expressed his anticipation of the fruitful outcomes of the seminar.
