UPEC students have unforgettable time at Donghua University
In 2024, celebrating the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Donghua University welcomed students from the Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) for a short-term exchange program.
Over the course of five weeks, they deeply immersed themselves in both Chinese language studies and a variety of cultural experiences.

Event highlights:
1. Specialized courses
Students were organized into groups based on their Chinese proficiency levels. The curriculum included topics that highlighted Shanghai's distinctive Haipai culture (literally “Shanghai style”).
2. Corporate visits
Students had the opportunity to visit the high-end fashion group ICICLE, an enterprise established by Donghua University alumni. There, they gained invaluable insights into the brand's entrepreneurial journey and core values.
3. Cultural experiences
Students explored iconic Shanghai landmarks such as Yuyuan Garden. What’s more, they had a blast with city cycling and delighted in the flavors of a spicy hotpot.
