Vietnamese students thrive in SUFE summer internship program
Shanghai University of Finance and Economics recently hosted a graduation ceremony for its 2024 summer internship program in collaboration with the Foreign Trade University of Vietnam, with 16 third-year Business Chinese major students successfully concluding their intensive one-month internships.
During the program, the students were placed at four companies: Shang Gong Group, which specializes in materials joining process equipment and automobile components, Shanghai Biaozhun Hailing Sewing Machinery Co Ltd, Shanghai Yamato Scale Co Ltd, and Atom Ventures, an early-stage tech investment firm.
To expedite the students' acclimatization to the office environment and business operations, each company implemented a "One Mentor, One Student" initiative. Through professional training, hands-on project work, and cultural exchange activities, the students gained profound insights into Chinese corporate culture and work practices.
By engaging in specific business projects, they enhanced their understanding and application of professional knowledge. For instance, student interns in the marketing department, under the guidance of their mentors, participated in the entire process of market research and marketing planning. From data analysis to creative planning and event execution, each step was independently completed by themselves.
Company executives noted that the presence of the Vietnamese students not only infused fresh perspectives into their organizations but also promoted mutual cultural and ideological exchange.
