The 2024 Shanghai Summer School - Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summer School program concluded on Aug 9, marking the end of a transformative four-week journey for 40 international students from 34 universities across six countries. Hosted by East China Normal University, the program offered a rich blend of cultural and educational experiences.

Participants engaged in a variety of activities designed to immerse them in the vibrant culture of China and the unique charm of Shanghai. The curriculum included Chinese language classes and enlightening lectures on topics such as the history and development of Shanghai, the role of the SCO, and China's overall progress.

In addition to academic pursuits, students had hands-on experiences with traditional Chinese cultural practices. They crafted dough figurines, created intricate sugar paintings, practiced baguazhang (a form of martial arts), and explored the art of Chinese calligraphy and painting, fostering a deep appreciation for China's rich cultural heritage.
