The Chinese language courses offered by the program, emphasize listening, speaking, reading and writing to help students master language skills comprehensively. Additionally, various class activities, group tasks and language practice sessions were organized to enhance students' language learning and cross-cultural exchanges.

The cultural experience activities were designed to be diverse and vibrant. In July, students immersed themselves in traditional intangible cultural heritage activities such as dough figurine making and the crafting of Nanxiang Xiaolongbao or steamed dumplings.

Additionally, a one-day tour of Suzhou city in Jiangsu province included visits to classical Chinese gardens and ancient streets – offering students a taste of the traditional charms of the Jiangnan region, located south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

August brought new experiences as students delved into the intangible cultural heritage of embroidery – gaining hands-on skills in ancient Chinese handicrafts.

They explored Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, soaked in the bustling nightlife of Shanghai and were captivated by a spectacular acrobatics performance.

Visits to the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the creation of handicraft sachets further deepened their appreciation for Chinese medicinal culture.

Moreover, the program covered elective courses on the appreciation of traditional Chinese stories through film and the intricacies of Chinese tea culture.

The tea culture courses, in particular, educated students on the art of tea ceremonies, offered tastings of the six major types of Chinese tea and provided an in-depth exploration of the essence of Chinese tea culture.
