Program information

1. Course offerings

> Core courses include Chinese listening, speaking, and reading.

> Three levels are available: Beginner, Elementary, and Intermediate.

* A minimum of 10 applicants are required for each level to commence.

2. Class schedule

> Classes run from Monday to Friday, with four periods each morning (8:30 am 11:50 am).

> Afternoon elective courses such as Chinese calligraphy, tai chi, and paper-cutting will be offered based on demand.

3. Activities

Weekly city excursions will be organized.

Important dates

1. Program duration:

> The program runs from Jan 7 to 24, 2025.

> The date to report and register is Jan 6.

2. Application deadline: Nov 30, 2024.

Eligibility

Applicants must be between 16 and 50 years old, in good health, and have reliable financial support and guardianship (for teenagers).

Application procedure

1. Complete the online application form on the admissions website (http://apply.shisu.edu.cn).

2. Pay the application fee of 450 yuan (or $75 for international transfers). Payment details are available at: http://www.oisa.shisu.edu.cn/index.php/index/newscontent/cid/39/id/356.html

Admission procedure

> Applications will be reviewed by the school.

> Accepted students will receive an admission notice.

> With the admission notice, students should apply for an X2 visa at a Chinese embassy or consulate.

> Students must report to the school on the specified date with their admission notice and passport for registration and payment.

Fees

Application fee: 450 yuan

Tuition fees:

> One week: 1,300 yuan

> Two weeks: 2,200 yuan

> Three weeks: 3, 000 yuan
