A delegation of 21 students and faculty members from Northern Illinois University and the University of Illinois Springfield attended a welcome ceremony at Shanghai Dianji University on Nov 25.

The ceremony marked the start of a 10-day youth exchange program, primarily based in Shanghai with additional visits to other regions of the country.

During the ceremony, Chinese and United States students engaged in discussions on the theme of "Innovation China".

They shared their insights and experiences of industrial and commercial cooperation between the two countries and the development of collaborative business models.

Jakub Lesny, a student from Northern Illinois University, said it was his first visit to China, praising the beauty and hospitality of Shanghai Dianji University.

Throughout the 10-day program, the participants will visit the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, Yuyuan Garden, and the Alibaba headquarters in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, experiencing China's historical culture, natural scenery, and modern technology.
