Fudan University's "Shanghai Summer School (BRICS Program)" has been held 11 times since its launch in 2014. The initiative aims to deepen international students' understanding of Chinese society, culture, political and economic development, BRICS cooperation, and global governance transformation.

The 2025 BRICS Program will run from June 30 to July 25 at Fudan University. International students are encouraged to apply.

Program location: Fudan University (Handan campus), No 220 Handan Road, Yangpu district

1. Course overview

The program comprises three main modules: "Global Governance and Cooperation among BRICS," "China's Politics and Diplomacy," and "Happy in Shanghai". The first two modules collectively offer four credits.

• Tuition: 12,900 yuan ($1776.33)
• Registration fee: 400 yuan
• Insurance fee: 150 yuan
• Accommodation fee: Dependent on the availability and condition of the university dormitories.

Students officially nominated by partners of the Center for BRICS Studies of the Fudan Development Institute (FDDI) are eligible for a 10-percent tuition discount. However, they remain responsible for activity fees and personal expenses, including meals, transportation, and insurance.
