In Zhuanghang town of Shanghai's Fengxian district, there is a longstanding tradition known as "eating mutton with spirits", where residents enjoy consuming mutton alongside alcoholic beverages.

This custom, dating back over 300 years, is particularly observed during the solar terms "Major Heat" and "Minor Heat" as it is believed to help expel cold from the body.

The mutton selected for this occasion is typically from goats aged between one and three years old, and various dishes are prepared from different parts of the goat, including offal and mutton. Check out this video to learn more.
