Back when I was studying for my Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Engineering in Bangladesh, I dreamt of pursuing my higher education in China. China's top position in apparel exports and textile machinery inspired me, especially since Bangladesh ranks second in apparel exports.
Among the many universities in China, Donghua University in Shanghai caught my attention. DHU is renowned for its exceptional research facilities and holds the No 1 spot in Textile Science and Engineering in China, according to the 2023 Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.
Shanghai, the city where DHU is located, became my dream destination. Its modern infrastructure, impressive architecture, efficient transportation, safety, and welcoming attitude toward foreigners intrigued me. Moreover, DHU's two campuses in different districts of Shanghai offer a diverse and vibrant environment.

What made DHU even more appealing was its membership in the World Textile University Alliance and the International Students Office (ISO). The ISO organizes various cultural programs, study tours, and international conferences, enhancing our academic and research skills while allowing interaction with students from around the globe.
Choosing DHU meant not only pursuing my academic dreams but embracing cultural diversity, as many students from different countries, especially in my major of Textile Science and Engineering, were enrolled. This presented a fantastic opportunity to learn about different cultures and build international connections. In essence, "我爱东华" – I love Donghua University – sums up my deep admiration for this incredible educational journey I'm on.
