This performance highlighted the conservatory's success in international development and multicultural integration.
The rendition brought together Chinese and international audiences in enthusiastic appreciation, offering an inspiring vision of young people from around the world pursuing their dreams in Shanghai.
The festival – themed "Embracing Beauty & Happiness" – kicked off in style and panache at Century Square on the East Nanjing Road in Huangpu district.
Running until Oct 6, the festival not only celebrates China's rich cultural heritage, but also features top global cultural brands like Disneyland and Lego.
Performing troupes from 16 countries and regions, including the United States, France and Italy, took the stage at the opening ceremony.
