Shanghai Dianji University welcomes freshmen with orientation activities
Shanghai Dianji University recently welcomed its international freshmen for the 2024 fall semester.
A total of 127 students from 38 countries and regions, filled with dreams and expectations, gathered for a variety of orientation activities at the International Education School to begin their academic and cultural journey.
To help them integrate into campus life, a series of educational lectures were held from Sept 11 to 12, covering topics such as safety education, academic integrity, cultural adaptation, and legal regulations.
The opening ceremony for the freshmen commenced on Sept 13. Three international student representatives shared their personal growth stories and valuable insights, encouraging the new students to explore the unknown and actively engage in campus activities.
Additionally, Barcelona John Rhay, representing the university's dragon boat team, highlighted the charm and achievements of this traditional Chinese activity. He emphasized the values of unity, collaboration, and striving for excellence, inspiring new students to integrate quickly into campus life.
