International students visit talent service center in Shanghai
A group of international students from Shanghai Business School attended a cultural exchange event at the Shanghai Hongqiao One-Stop Service Center for Overseas Talents.
The event addressed common practical issues faced by expats, helping students gain a deeper understanding of Chinese policies.
Additionally, the event provided practical guidance on registering for and using popular Chinese mobile applications, the latest visa policy updates, and essential tips for renting accommodation.
In the subsequent cultural experience activity, the students learned about the essential tools of calligraphy — brushes, ink, paper, and ink stones. They also practiced writing their Chinese names and blessings on rice paper, wooden fans, couplets, and calendars.
Following this, the students were introduced to the origins of Song Dynasty (960-1279) tea whisking. They engaged in every step of tea whisking, from grinding tea powder and preparing tea paste to creating tea paste paintings.
The interactive session allowed the students to experience Chinese tea-making, providing a better understanding of its cultural and historical value.
