Aung Khaing Min started his academic journey in Shanghai six years ago, driven by a deep appreciation for Chinese culture and a fascination with civil engineering. Attracted by China's rich heritage and rapid technological advancements, he chose Shanghai Jiao Tong University to fulfill his aspirations. Immersed in a multicultural environment, he quickly adapted to the rigors of early morning classes and broadened his global perspective, forging friendships with peers from around the world.
During his undergraduate years, Aung Khaing Min excelled academically, completing all courses with distinction and actively engaging in scholarly pursuits. In 2019, he collaborated with local students on a project for the School of Mechanical Engineering, earning an outstanding project award. This experience ignited an interest in research and bolstered his confidence in civil engineering. He also participated in a PRP project exploring numerical simulation, receiving both an excellent project evaluation and the outstanding award at the 2020 Shanghai student innovation competition.

After earning his bachelor's degree, Aung Khaing Min secured a place in the master's program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he continued to pursue academic excellence. During his postgraduate studies, he demonstrated his research acumen by publishing three papers in journals indexed by the Science Citation Index and one major Chinese paper.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Aung Khaing Min was actively involved in over 10 volunteer activities and various sports competitions, with basketball in particular helping him forge meaningful connections.
As a dedicated ambassador of China-Myanmar relations, he served as president of the Myanmar Association at SJTU, where he coordinated numerous cultural exchange events. One of his most rewarding experiences was organizing a Myanmar cultural and food display booth, where he led brainstorming sessions with fellow Myanmar students to showcase traditional cuisine, clothing, and games, effectively bridging cultural gaps and fostering international understanding.
