Students experience herbal sachet making at SJTU

Shanghai Jiao Tong University recently hosted a traditional cultural experience workshop for international students, focusing on the art of herbal sachet making. More than 20 students from countries such as Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia, and Pakistan participated in the event.

The workshop featured presentations by Zhen Chaoyue and Ye Fuzi from the School of Pharmacy, who shared insights into the thousand-year history of herbal sachets, a traditional Chinese accessory, highlighting their crafting techniques and medicinal value.

During the DIY segment, students used 18 types of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, such as mugwort, mint, and patchouli, to create their own blends.
