Yangpu district has become a magnet for global talent thanks to its innovative spirit and vibrant atmosphere. An increasing number of expats are choosing this dynamic area as a location to grow and engage in entrepreneurship.

Nikita, from Russia, is currently enrolled at the BI Norwegian Business School-Fudan University MBA Program. Nikita manages a newly established international trade company in Dalian, Liaoning province, and seeks to enhance his leadership skills through his studies at the university, collaborating with classmates from diverse backgrounds. Despite the frequent flights from Dalian to Shanghai, he finds the vibrant student life immensely rewarding.

Thanita Woowong, from Thailand, is equally captivated by Yangpu's allure. She is enrolled at the Washington University-Fudan University Executive MBA Program, while serving as a market team manager at Booking, a leading digital travel company in Thailand. This program ranked third globally in the 2024 Financial Times EMBA rankings. Woowong notes that Shanghai's modern and dynamic business environment offers an excellent platform for expanding her global perspective. She aims to delve deeper into the vast potential of the Chinese market and learn advanced business models and innovative practices.
