Shanghai Normal University showcased its commitment to international exchange and cultural understanding at the 7th international culture festival on May 16.

Under the theme "Voices of Diversity, Harmony in Unity", the event drew participation from over 600 students and teachers, transforming the university's Xuhui campus into a global village. It featured 28 cultural booths representing more than 60 countries and regions.

Participants enjoyed cultural performances, authentic food tastings, interactive art displays, and traditional games.

Performances were divided into two segments. The first, "Voices of Diversity", spotlighted a range of international acts, including a Kazakh dance accompanied by the traditional musical instrument dombra, a Vietnamese dance, a performance of the Russian folk song Kalinka, an African dance from Cameroon, and a Mongolian dance.

A medley of international pop and folk songs concluded the performance portion of the festival.

Beyond the stage, students presented their cultures at designated booths, offering traditional foods, handicrafts, and cultural quizzes. Participants received a souvenir for collecting stamps at each booth with an international culture festival passport.
