International students immersed themselves in traditional Chinese culture through a vibrant Dragon Boat Festival fair held at the College of International Education of Shanghai University of Engineering Science on May 30.

Students from around the world explored the festival's origins and customs and then showcased their findings through posters that reflected both their learning and enthusiasm for Chinese culture.

Each class set up booths featuring traditional games such as pitch-pot, hopscotch, and shuttlecock kicking — offering a lively glimpse into ancient Chinese leisure.

They also made scented sachets and tasted various types of zongzi, the signature sticky rice dumpling that symbolizes the Dragon Boat Festival.

By combining language learning with cultural immersion, the event gave international students a deeper understanding of Chinese heritage and strengthened their connection to local culture.
