Fukushima University students join Chinese language program at ECNU
East China Normal University hosted a two-week short-term Chinese language training program from Sept 15 to 26, welcoming seven students from Fukushima University to explore Chinese culture and enhance their language proficiency.
Upon arrival, the students participated in orientation sessions and campus tours, where they were impressed by the university's picturesque environment and convenient facilities.
The program included an intensive Chinese language curriculum featuring diverse language-learning activities. Students improved their comprehensive listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through immersive interactions with peers from various countries while broadening their international perspectives.
Beyond the classroom, the students visited organizations such as the Japan External Trade Organization Shanghai and the Fukushima Prefectural Government Shanghai Office, gaining firsthand insights into diverse corporate cultures and Chinese society.
Students reflected on their experiences, noting that the library and bookstore at ECNU conveyed a strong academic atmosphere. They praised Shanghai's convenient public transportation and the food, which they found both affordable and delicious.
One student majoring in education was impressed by the unique teaching methods of the Chinese language teachers, saying that the local people were warm and helpful. Whenever they encountered difficulties, people nearby readily offered assistance, making them feel truly welcome.
