The Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and the Running Bug Club at Shanghai Jiao Tong University organized a campus orienteering event at the Minhang campus on Oct 26, attracting more than 80 Chinese and international students .

Students were divided into teams to complete check-in tasks at four checkpoints along their assigned routes.

On the lawn of the School of Electronics, volunteers from the club led warm-up exercises and briefed participants on the rules and safety precautions before the event began .

The event featured four games that combined elements of traditional Chinese culture with modern entertainment. At the number puzzle booth, students tested their logical thinking by solving numerical sequencing puzzles. At the pitch-pot challenge booth, students tried ancient banquet games that tested concentration and precision. During the paper-cutting workshop, students experienced the charm of intangible cultural heritage through hands-on practice, while the chopstick relay deepened their understanding of Chinese dining culture and traditional festivals.

After the four-kilometer campus exploration, all teams that completed the challenges received customized souvenirs. The event also featured a lucky draw session, with winners taking home SJTU-themed canvas tote bags.

By blending athletic competition with cultural exchange, the event not only encouraged participants to explore the campus but also fostered friendships among them.
