International students explore e-commerce trends in Shanghai
The International Students Office at Fudan University organized a visit for international students to Dfgou, the e-commerce arm of the Oriental Pearl Group, on Oct 21.
During site visits, technical briefings, and discussion sessions, the students gained insight into how the enterprise transformed from a traditional TV shopping platform into an integrated ecosystem. They also learned how it transforms products featured at the annual China International Import Expo into popular consumer goods, contributing to economic development and market exchange.
Dfgou is the largest video shopping platform in China's radio and television industry. Leveraging resources from Shanghai Media Group and Oriental Pearl, it combines advantages in channels, users, supply chains, and content to offer brand promotion and content marketing solutions both online and offline.
Guided by an instructor from the live stream operations team, the students explored the company's exhibition area and a studio. Through electronic screens, they watched historical footage of broadcasts that were once limited to Shanghai and compared it with today's nationwide satellite coverage.
