Danish coffee brand La Cabra brings pop-up to Shanghai
Danish coffee brand La Cabra has opened a pop-up at Longfeng PRSCO on Middle Huaihai Road, serving coffee and Danish pastries. The pop-up runs through Dec 31.
Founded in 2012, La Cabra sources green coffee beans from producers worldwide and creates individual roasting profiles to enhance the beans' natural flavors. Its menu includes pour-over coffee, espresso, and milk-based drinks, with each coffee bean roasted to highlight its distinctive flavors.
The space is divided into two areas. One presents coffee beans and branded products in a gallery-style display, while the other houses the coffee counter and seating area. With wood finishes, soft lighting, and simple furnishings, the space feels relaxed and inviting.
The menu also features Danish cardamom buns, made with traditional dough preparation and fermentation. The cardamom is hand-peeled and ground, giving the buns a fragrant, spicy flavor. The buns have a soft, airy texture with a slight chew.
The brand's attention to detail shows in its drinkware, too. The pop-up uses custom ceramic cups made by Danish ceramics studio K.H. Wurtz for La Cabra. Each handmade cup has a unique surface texture and a dark matte glaze.
