To top things off, the Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historical and Cultural Block — the largest of the 12 historical zones in central Shanghai and one of the city's four major Shanghai-style community areas — is hosting a series of holiday-themed events.
The 24-day Shanghai International Flower Show is a major highlight, with a special venue on the city block. The area is being transformed into a lifestyle experience hub, combining a spring market, cultural activities and great food offerings. Visitors can have a blast in this vibrant setting, designed to boost the holiday economy. These events run to May 11.
As one of the city's major waterfront commercial areas, Xuhui Riverside is also hosting a variety of top activities. From now to May 25, fans of the animated film Lilo & Stitch have the chance to see a giant 6.2-meter-tall Stitch figure at the Gate M West Bund Dream Center, a cultural and leisure landmark in Xuhui.
It's a fabulous new photo spot, with pop-up stores in the area featuring Stitch-themed merchandise — offering neat products and attracting visitors to shop, dine and explore the scene.
