Under the theme "New Science Paradigm: Break Through for the Next Decade," the forum will convene hundreds of leading scientists, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, young researchers, and representatives from technology companies. The 2026 WLF Prize Award Ceremony will also be held, honoring 11 scientists across three categories: Life Science or Medicine, Computer Science or Mathematics, and Young Scientists.

The program features an opening ceremony and a main forum, six parallel forums, four themed events, and a closing ceremony. The parallel forums will explore future semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, aerospace, future energy, and quantum science. A highlight this year is that industry scientists will share the stage with WLF Prize laureates for the first time.

The four themed events include the Future Scientists Forum, the World Top-Performing Incubator Conference, the Young Scientists Event, and the SHE Forum. Four special tech tour routes will showcase Shanghai's major research infrastructure and industry-academia collaboration, including the National Facility for Protein Science in Shanghai and the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Evaluation Base.
