Pudong New Area

Lying in the east of Shanghai with an area of 1,210 square kilometers, Pudong New Area is located on the eastern bank of the Huangpu River and at the estuary of the Yangtze River.

Huangpu District

Huangpu district, located on the west bank of the Huangpu River with an area of 20.52 square kilometers, is the core of downtown Shanghai, hailed as "heart, window and name card" of the city.

Jing'an District

Located in downtown Shanghai with an area of 37 square kilometers, Jing'an district serves as an important window for Shanghai to the outside world.

Xuhui District

Xuhui district, with a total area of 54.93 square kilometers, is a place where Eastern and Western cultures meet.

Changning District

Changning district, which covers an area of 37.18 square kilometers and is located in close adjacency to the Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub, is home to Shanghai's first CBD for foreign enterprises and is a major contributor to Shanghai as an international trade center.

Putuo District

Putuo district, with an area of 55.53 square kilometers, ranks first among all downtown districts in Shanghai in terms of available land, total volume of buildings to be developed and Suzhou Creek frontage.

Hongkou District

Hongkou district is located in the northeast of downtown Shanghai with an area of 23.48 square kilometers. It is a core functional zone of Shanghai’s central business district, and is one of the key development areas along the Huangpu River.

Yangpu District

Yangpu district is located in the northeast of downtown Shanghai, with a total area of about 60.61 square kilometers.

Baoshan District

Baoshan district is located in northern Shanghai with an area of 300.6 square kilometers. Nestled at the conjuncture of Yangtze River, Huangpu River and Wusong River, it is awarded titles as the "Gateway of Suzhou and Wusong" and "Shanghai's Waterway Hub".

Minhang District

Minhang district, with an area of nearly 373 square kilometers, is an overlapping functional area of the Hongqiao International Hub for Opening-up, the scientific innovation center in southern Shanghai and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
