At the recent certification ceremony for Shanghai's 41st batch of multinational regional headquarters and foreign-funded R&D centers, BASF Care Chemicals (Shanghai) Co Ltd was recognized as a foreign-invested R&D center.

As a global leader in the chemical industry, BASF has continued to increase its investment in the Shanghai Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park located in Jinshan district. The planned output value of its Jinshan base is expected to exceed 3 billion yuan (US$417.83 million), demonstrating the company's strong recognition and confidence in the park as an innovation hub.

The industrial park is believed to be committed to building an international innovation ecosystem. From improving infrastructure to optimizing supporting services, from establishing high-end exchange platforms to fostering a vibrant innovation atmosphere, every initiative is designed to provide enterprises with the most efficient and high-quality development environment, thereby attracting more global industry leaders like BASF.

In addition, key projects such as the D&J Intelligent Manufacturing Park and Lin-gang Carbon Valley Green Bay have progressed rapidly in the first half of 2025. Companies like Pulcra Chemicals and Resun Auway have achieved significant performance growth.

During this period, the industrial production output of the Jinshan-based industrial park reached 15.63 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 percent, while tax revenue rose to 2.41 billion yuan, up 7.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
