Putuo's business environment fosters startup growth
Interactive and collaborative development has become a hallmark of Putuo district's business environment in recent years, attracting enterprises from worldwide.
Guiguicha was established in Putuo in 2015. The brand quickly built a strong local following with its authentic Hong Kong-style milk tea, as well as its signature iced lemon tea and egg waffles.
Eight years later, it launched its yogurt brand, Ucan. In just two years, Ucan expanded from one store to over 700.
Like most startups, Ucan had to navigate significant risks. The beverage market is highly saturated, marked by a lack of product differentiation and intense competition.
However, amid various uncertainties, Putuo continued to strengthen the brand's confidence. Relevant departments actively assisted in coordinating store locations.
Taopu town invited the brand to participate in various themed fairs, offering it business opportunities for collaboration with other enterprises.
Furthermore, Putuo facilitated its connections with relevant companies along the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, laying a market foundation for the brand's expansion into the Yangtze River Delta region.
For startups like Ucan, the district's business environment is no longer an intangible concept but "tangible hope" for enterprise development.
