On Dec 9 at Shanghai Center, Eduard Lanner, dean of Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory, performed the Milan Variations — the first public performance in Asia of this newly discovered piano piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The manuscript of the piece was uncovered earlier this year by musicologists in Graz, Austria, and is believed to have been composed by Mozart in 1771 during his time in Italy.
