At the "CIIE Roundtable: New Horizons" during CIIE 2025 in Shanghai, Oscar, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Colombia in China, highlighted Colombia's landmark inaugural participation as Guest of Honor at the 8th CIIE.
Describing the role as a symbol of "good fortune", he emphasized it reflects the deepening bilateral ties between Colombia and China. He also expressed anticipation for sending larger delegations in the future to further boost bilateral trade growth.
