The AI Matrix Store opened at Zhangjiang AI Innovation Town on May 11, becoming Zhangjiang's first dedicated hub for artificial intelligence applications. Covering nearly 2,000 square meters, the store houses six specialized zones, including a curated product space, makers' workshops, and an AI health area. More than 100 brands have joined, offering more than 500 AI products.

The store is not a traditional retail outlet but an AI ecosystem center that combines experience, commerce, incubation, and social interaction.

In the maker area, participants gather around a laser engraving machine, personalizing items in seconds — from a photo or name on a cup to a message engraved on a leaf. The space also features 3D printers, UV printers, and woodworking machines for hands-on experimentation.

Another highlight is the AI health zone, where the EspineBot AI health screening system uses machine vision and signal processing to analyze vital signs. The system displays indicators such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood oxygen levels on a screen and generates an individualized health risk report.

The AI Matrix Store provides a platform to turn advanced AI technologies into interactive, tangible products. It also allows consumers to experience how AI can enhance everyday life and gives companies a space to test and validate products.

For instance, an AI-enabled cat litter box can now track a pet's visits and duration, detect urine pH, and screen for common urinary or kidney problems. This innovative product will soon make its global debut at the store.

The store also functions as a makerspace for innovators, helping startups test products in real-life scenarios and shorten the validation cycle from six months to three.

"We provide tiered science and technology courses for young people, as well as equipment rental and technical support for adult makers and solo entrepreneurs," said Lan Chaoxiang, head of the maker area. "We hope anyone can turn the ideas in their head into real products here."
