Shanghai's West Nanjing Road shopping area is welcoming a fresh wave of fashion energy, with new stores, first stores, and brand pop-ups drawing shoppers and widespread attention. Here are some highlights:

One of the most notable recent moments in Shanghai's streetwear scene took place at Zhangyuan, where Palace Skateboards opened its first standalone store on the Chinese mainland. The London-born skate brand quickly attracted long lines of shoppers, with many visitors hoping to buy Shanghai-exclusive items.

The exclusive Shanghai collection blends the brand's signature Tri-Ferg logo with local elements, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, the "Shang-Hi" graphic, and designs inspired by the Chinese zodiac. The lineup features Jackets, T-shirts, caps, and skateboards.

Founded in 2010 by skateboarder Lev Tanju, Palace is known for fusing British retro aesthetics with skate and street culture. The choice of Zhangyuan reflects the brand's focus on community and local culture. The store also built ties with nearby businesses and Shanghai's skateboarding community.

Fabrique

Fabrique has opened its first Shanghai boutique, La Salle de Fabrique, at HKRI Taikoo Hui. The new space follows the brand's earlier Fabrique × Vera Wang pop-up and continues its cinematic design concept.

Inspired by classic Parisian theaters, the store is designed as a "flowing wardrobe theater", connecting fashion with modern women's everyday lives. Layered interiors and dramatic visual details create a warm, immersive shopping experience, where browsing, fitting clothes, and conversation naturally become part of the atmosphere.

The boutique also reflects Fabrique's "global design workshop" concept, featuring collections from more than 350 designers around the world.

Realisation Par

Realisation Par, established in Los Angeles in 2015 by Australian founders Alexandra Spencer and Teale Talbot, has opened a new pop-up store on Yongyuan Road. The brand became popular online for its signature silk dresses and romantic floral prints.

Unlike traditional fashion brands, Realisation Par focuses on timeless individual pieces instead of seasonal collections. Its lightweight silk dresses and relaxed styling have made the brand especially popular among young women around the world.

The brand still does not operate permanent physical stores on the Chinese mainland, making this Shanghai event especially popular. Last year, a previous pop-up in Shanghai attracted such large crowds that the store had to temporarily close to restock inventory.

The current space features both new-season styles and classic bestsellers, giving shoppers a chance to try on some of the brand's most recognizable designs in person.
