Asia's only Casa Lavazza opens at Shanghai's Old City Hall
Shanghai's coffee lovers have a new reason to head to the Bund with the opening of Asia's only Casa Lavazza. Located at the Old City Hall in Huangpu district, the venue brings Italian coffee culture to one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Founded in Turin in 1895, Lavazza has specialized in Italian coffee blending for more than 130 years. The Shanghai flagship marks the first full introduction in China of the concept behind the brand's Milan flagship store, creating an Italian-style coffee house where visitors can enjoy premium coffee and explore the traditions behind it.
The cafe recreates signature elements of the Milan flagship, including its arcade and starry-sky bar. Coffee is prepared using classic Italian techniques. The menu features Shanghai-exclusive creations, freshly made gelato, and Lavazza's signature affogato.
