The 5th Shanghai Global Talents Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition rewards individuals and organizations that recommend outstanding projects, with top-tier incentives reaching up to 200,000 yuan ($27,600).

 

How to recommend a project

1. Register as a scout (referred to as "Bole") on the official website.

2. Obtain a referral code after registration.

3. Invite projects to participate and provide them with the referral code.

4. Ensure the participating projects include the referral code when registering for the competition.

 

Evaluation criteria

Referrals will be categorized into three classes based on the performance of the recommended projects:

• Class A: No fewer than two projects qualify for the finals in the same competition edition.
• Class B: No fewer than three projects qualify for the semifinals in the same edition.
• Class C: A minimum of 15 projects participate in the preliminary round of the Shanghai division, or no fewer than 10 projects compete in non-Shanghai divisions.

Note: Individuals who are participants or team members of a competing project cannot recommend their project.

 

Reward standards

• Class A: A one-time reward of 200,000 yuan for recommending no fewer than two projects that qualify for the finals. Additionally:

>>  100,000 yuan for each project that wins a gold prize.

>>  50,000 yuan for each project that wins a silver prize.

>>  30,000 yuan for each project that wins a bronze prize.

>>  A maximum of 10 Class A awards will be granted per edition.

• Class B: A one-time reward of 150,000 yuan, with up to 30 Class B awards granted per edition.
• Class C: A one-time reward of 20,000 yuan, with up to 100 Class C awards granted per edition.

 

Important notes

• If the number of eligible individuals or organizations exceeds the award quota, rewards will be granted based on the project’s advancement in the competition, with the highest-performing recommendations prioritized.
• The total reward for a single organization or individual recommending projects in the same competition edition is capped at 500,000 yuan, even if the total calculated reward exceeds this limit.
