The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Transport has announced the resumption of online ride-hailing services within the Shanghai Pudong International Airport area, effective February 4. 

The commission said in an online statement that people can now avail themselves of ride-hailing services through various platforms within the airport vicinity. The decision was made in response to public opinion.

The statement said that all ride-hailing platforms need to operate in compliance of rules, effectively manage their drivers, and follow the traffic arrangements at the Pudong Airport. The commission added it would actively organize resources and continuously improve services to meet the travel demands of the general public.
